Lifecycle of Magento software support

Magento provides clarity around all software support commitments. These commitments and announcements define the approach towards providing software support for Magento platform. Commitments help many merchants to get additional time to make the transition to the newer Magento version. Lifecycle of Magento Open source software (formerly known as Community Edition):

For Magento 1 open source, only security patches will be provided until June 2020 to ensure Magento 1 sites remain secure and compliant. You can refer below table to see which version of Magento 1 open source continues to receive software security maintenance. Table contains Magento 2 open source lifecycle as well.
